new, acoustic album captures pieces of the journey I've been on over the past
few years. It's been a learning process of "waiting" for dreams that have not yet come and becoming the man I must be in order to live them out when they do come.
This lesson has come through a most unusual teacher... creature. Last October my wife started feeding a stray cat. Now, I've never been a cat fan, but it turned cold and Julie begged. So we brought it in, cleaned it up, and started to care for and love it. In no time at all, Mr. Punkin, got into my heart like nothing else ever has. (Obviously, he's on the CD cover.)
I think it's because I can't stop seeing more and more how much God wants to take us in, just as we are - dirt, fleas, and all - have us relax in His care, and trust in His unconditional and unfailing love for us.
Like my cat, I have a tendency to stare out the window all day wishing for things that may not be God's best and sit at the door hoping to escape to greener pastures. All the while, He's got His eye on me and has a plan that is perfect, pleasing, and will continue to draw me, and others, to Him.
I hope these songs, that He's given me to share with you, will do just that. Draw you to Him and inspire you to look to Him as you patiently wait for the dream He's placed in your heart to come true.
