Choices (2005)
is a collection of tunes documenting feelings and dreams I've had for
years that seem to touch a common chord among friends and fans.
After meeting my wife Julie, the summer of 2003, hope and happiness seemed to flood my soul and pour into my songwriting. It was like I was living life with new eyes and yet remembering the broken road I'd only just come from.
The opening track, "Nobody's Innocent" shares the sad truth that we all have something we battle and yet we each have choices to make. "Secret Place", written to Julie for our wedding, has been a fan-favorite for several years and now shows up reprised on the new record "Waiting". And, one of my favorites, "The Wind" is a story-song that tells of love and hope intermingled with the landscape of Northern Michigan beaches.
