Thanks for your interest in my music.  While I love being a musician, my heart is really about something more. For one, I am a family guy.
As you listen to the songs on the latest album, "Waiting," I think you'll get the sense of adoration for my wife, our two boys, and yes - even our pets. It's private stuff, but not really. While it could be kept just for us and under our roof, I choose instead to share it with others. It's my great desire for you to be inspired to love those in your life with a deeper passion and commitment.

This has not come easily for me. For the past couple of years, I've been on a difficult and challenging journey. It's an adventure of discovering and accepting more of the love of Christ. While it should be easy to accept His love, this isn't always so when we feel we don't deserve it or we have loved ourselves too much or too wrongly or not enough. Can you relate? But the beauty in the love of God is that He loved us before we even knew Him. (1 John 4:10). He designed us with a plan and purpose to come to know Him and share Him with others. To do this - love is essential.

So finally, what I'm about - what I hope you discover for yourself, maybe through my music or on your own journey - is that it's all about Love.

God is Love. -- 1 John 4:8

This truth has been essential and couldn't have come at a better time or through any more profound lesson, than "Waiting".

I'm learning how to live it through my relationship with my wife, our boys, my friendships, and even through the love I have for my cat.

Yes, loving a cat both surprises and humbles me. It teaches me, in an oddly human way, about the kind of relationship I believe God desires to have with us. That a relationship with a Loving, Heavenly Father is purer, more honest, and more fulfilling than anything we could ever experience on this earth even with those closest to us.

He's always here. He is patiently waiting for us to lean on Him, talk to Him, and share everything we go through with Him. Everything we have with Him. Everything we dream with Him. Because when we finally let go of it all and are left with Him -- we discover we truly have EVERYTHING.

I believe this journey we're all on is an opportunity to discover what is most important to us. What are you waiting for?

Secondly, I'm learning that life is not about playing solo. I'm about others. I want to share my life and gifts to build others up.

I'm so grateful for the friends that have come along
with me on this part of the journey. These friends want to know me, - the real me. And they love and support me during my ups and downs. They challenge me to be a godly man and keep my eyes on heavenly things while I wait for impossible dreams to come true. These relationships  are some of the greatest gifts in my life.

Some of the coolest gigs I've had through the past 12 years of professional performing include Interlochen Arts Academy and the National Cherry Festival. I also count it  a great privilege and honor to have had the  opportunity to share my music in some great, God loving, people growing, churches like New Hope Community and Bay Pointe in Traverse City and Trinity Church in Lansing.

Its at these churches I've found some of my closest friends. We are people who love each other not for what we do, but for who we are and who we are becoming.

No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us. -- 1 John 4:12
